People are the foundation of my work. Without thinking of people first you lose the enormity of any impact you want to create. From the people we hire to the brands we work with. Helping other women is what I’m here for, hence this agency.
Pitches
When I pitch it ignites my creativity and foster trust between myself and the media. This leads to earned exposure for my clients. It also creates cash flow in my business where I pay not only myself, but allows me to employ other women as well. It also generates money to keep The Venus Agency in the black financially so I can do the next P.
Planet

1. Is period poverty. I currently donate to Period.org. Having experienced period poverty myself I try to help raise awareness and donate to this cause that no one seems to want to talk about, yet half the world’s population experience. It is near and dear to me and if you like to donate to Period.org or any other period focused non-profit, please do.
2. Public Radio. When my husband and I started dating I would drive 3 hours from Montgomery, AL where I was in college at AUM to Tallahassee, FL to where he was attending FAMU. One of his teachers assigned his class to listen to NPR and write a report. Because of that teacher my life has never been the same. I was informed before, but now I’m really informed about what’s going on in the world.
I donate to my local NPR station WLRN that covers South Florida and the Keys. It’s balanced and covers the world along with other interesting things on special shows. I can’t tell you how much I’ve learned over the past 21 years from listening to public radio. If you’re interested in contributing to your local station just Google and donate. You won’t regret it.
3. Could be different causes related directly to the Planet. Water poverty, climate change, saving animals and forest… This list goes on and on.
My donation to each of these 3 causes affect how the planet is impacted.
Profit
Here’s where my goal of 7 generations of Generational Wealth comes in. (I have a thing for the number 7) My business is an extension of me, my skills and creativity. But ultimately it’s about my family. As a black woman in American each generation has had the opportunity to gain more than the last. It’s never easy, but the opps are there.
I plan to be a Mogul. More than a millionaire, but a billionaire. It’s attainable so why not for me. The Venus Agency is one beam of light in my plan. I admit the plan isn’t all flushed out, but it’s coming along.
Creating generational wealth for 7 generations means that my family would be in the same financial position as the Rockafellers or the Fords. It will mean that my impact on the world will live beyond my years and that my descendants can continue to make a mark on their world’s in the future.
Philanthropy and Family are important to me and in order to create the earth shattering marks on this world, I’ve got to create the profit to do it.
